ACADEMY FACULTY & VOLUNTEERS
The faculty at Mother Caroline Academy includes eight to ten lay volunteers who
are recent graduates of prominent and prestigious colleges such as Harvard,
MIT, Emmanuel, Boston College, Holy Cross, Villavova and Notre Dame. Our
volunteer teachers are extremely dedicated, hard-working, fun-loving individuals,
who dedicate several years of their lives to the school and its mission.
They spend 10-12 hours each day teaching, directing after-school activities,
tutoring at evening study, and planning Saturday field trips for the girls.
While working for MCA, they are paid a small stipend,
given health and dental insurance
and are provided free
room and board at a site located near the school. All of the teachers would
agree, however, that the small amount of economic compensation is more than
made up for by the tremendous intangible rewards of working at such a worthwhile
institution and teaching such a unique population of children. | |
