Welcome from the Head of School:

Dear Friends,

Mother Caroline Academy and Education Center has just completed its 25-year anniversary and the feeling of change is in the air.  You can hear it in our hallways and classrooms as we strive to make the next quarter of a century the best by looking towards the future and preparing our students for a global economy.

We have developed new programs for world language and world religions and have regenerated interest in experiential learning and STEAM programs.  Our students are challenged with a rigorous academic program to become the shining stars they are destined to be. With dedication to our mission statement of providing a “high quality education that develops the individual gifts of each student and prepares her for success in competitive secondary schools and college” we challenge our students to look beyond the city of Boston and reach for goals as global citizens.  We are immersed in a world where dedication to global learning is essential.

Our core values of Leadership, Responsibility, Respect, and Perseverance can be seen in the classrooms, on the sports field and in the after school program. Wrap around services such as “The Parenting Journey”, a nationally acclaimed educational program that supports parents through education and discussion, help our families navigate the independent school world.  Our partnerships with community organizations such as Step Into Art, The Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, Handel and Haydn, and the BU Center for Regenerative Medicine allow our students to become involved in the Boston community while providing rich cultural opportunities where students are able to learn about careers as well as broaden their lens to the world.

We continue to serve young women of underrepresented communities by lifting them out of poverty and empowering them through education. Our facts:

  • 100% of our students graduate from high school
  • 96% of our students enroll in college
  • 75% of our students matriculate within 5 years
  • In 2017-2018 school year, MCA graduates received $500,000 in total scholarship funding from a varied list of secondary schools

As we begin our school year we invite you to come and visit and experience the continuous flow of energy in our hallways and classrooms.

Warm regards,

                Annmarie Quezada
