We’ll do our best to match your interests and skills with our students’ needs and our organization’s needs.
We appreciate your interest in MCAEC and look forward to meeting you soon, but in the meantime please take a moment and read about some featured mentor/mentee matches!
Tanasia and Amber
Amber (mentee) and Tanasia (mentor) were matched in March 2014. They are both graduates of MCA. When Amber was looking into high schools, she reached out to Tanasia for advice, and together they attended a high school fair to explore options. They are an adventurous duo. At the Mentor Program Annual Ski Trip last February, Amber taught her mentor, Tanasia, a few skiing tips.
Sara and Maya
Sara (mentor) and Maya (mentee) were matched in October 2015. What is really special about their relationship is how integrated their families have become in such a short time. Maya often feels like she has three mentors because Sara’s daughter Lauren often attends events. Sara is extremely proud of Maya’s accomplishments including Maya’s recent acceptance to the Cate School in Santa Barbara, CA for high school.
Alethea and Marisha
Alethea (Mentor) and Marisha (Mentee) were matched in March of 2015. Graduating in 2016, Marisha was a member of MCA’s basketball team. When the opportunity from The Shamrock Dreams Foundation and Mass Mentoring Partnership became available, Alethea and Marisha represented Mother Caroline Academy at the Celtics game. Marisha and Alethea also enjoy attending MCA Mentor Program monthly events. Their most recent activity together was on the MCA canoe trip.
