In the spring, MCA 5th graders take an overnight trip to Vermont to participate in hands-on farm activities and classroom reflections with the Farms for City Kids program in Reading, VT. Farms for City Kids serves as the first time that many of our students will participate in an overnight trip. Students rotate in teams throughout a variety of tasks within the dairy barn, garden, greenhouse, small animal barn, and more. The many alumnae who have been fortunate to participate in this program often refer to it as one of their favorite and most impactful experiences throughout their time here.
